About The Opportunity
Ventia delivers the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) for the Government of South Australia. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Sustainability Coordinator to support our Sustainability Services team by uplifting and embedding sustainability across the AGFMA contract and contributing to the State's Net Zero and waste reduction objectives.
This permanent full time role will work primarily on the AGFMA contract, with flexibility to support other sustainability initiatives within Ventia as required. While the role is preferably based in South Australia, strong candidates from other states may also be considered. If the successful applicant is interstate, periodic travel to South Australia will be required.

Key Responsibilities (include But Are Not Limited To)
* Embed and uplift sustainability across the AGFMA contract, working closely with the Sustainability Manager, cross functional teams, provision of sustainability performance & objectives to Agencies, and attending relevant
* AGFMA, Agency and Climate Ready (NZIGO) engagements.
* Develop and manage sustainability data frameworks, reporting tools and analysis models, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, KPI tracking and contribution to investment proposals.
* Analyse data to identify trends and sustainability opportunities, including emissions reduction, waste minimisation and resource efficiency initiatives.
* Contribute to Energy, Emissions, Waste and Water minimisation strategies and annual management plans, ensuring alignment with contract obligations and sustainability goals.
* Support the delivery of environmental and business improvement initiatives, ensuring progress against timelines, milestones and KPIs, and identifying new sustainability opportunities.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide education and support to Agencies, vendors and internal teams, while promoting Ventia's values and Safe for Life philosophy.
Skills And Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental/Sustainability Studies, Science, Engineering or a related discipline, with experience delivering sustainability initiatives or projects.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with Power BI experience highly regarded.
* Solid understanding of sustainability frameworks and policy, including SA climate policy, net zero strategies, CSR frameworks, sustainability legislation and the UN SDGs (Climate Active experience beneficial).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop reports, proposals and presentations and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Flexible, proactive and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a complex, multi stakeholder operational environment.
