Based at our Berrima Cement Works, you will provide expert purchasing support for raw materials and engineering & maintenance equipment/ parts.
In this fast paced and high volume environment, you will interact with operational stakeholders, our Procurement team and key vendors to deliver a sustainable, competitive advantage for our Boral Cement operations.This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Trades professional seeking a career change or a Graduate Mechanical Engineer.
Your ability to understand the technical needs of our sites and to think on your feet to achieve procurement outcomes will contribute to your success in this role.This is a 12 month fixed term contract.Your day will involve:Partner with Boral Cement and suppliers to ensure goods and services are provided on time, at the right location at the best cost and valueSource suppliers and/ or quotes for workProcess purchase order requisitions and amendmentsMaintain open purchase orders and resolve invoicing issuesAssist and support the purchasing function to ensure service agreement levels are maintainedActively contribute to the team's assigned targets around savings, value, risk management and governanceActively contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of our purchasing activitiesWhat are we looking for?
Experienced Trade professionals or newly Graduated Mechanical Engineers are welcome to applyProven ability to interpret technical specifications and work scopesComplex problem solving and analytical skills within a commercial environmentExceptional stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to negotiate and maintain service levelsDemonstrated capability to manage high volumes within a demanding environmentGood technological abilities - experience with Maximo and Oracle is advantageousWhat's on offer?
