Are you passionate about community sport, working with volunteers and increasing junior participation?
We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as our Cricket Manager for the Inner West Metro region. This position will play a critical role in growing sustainable participation, maintaining the delivery of exceptional experiences and supporting the cricket community Associations, Clubs, and school programs in the west of Melbourne. The region covers the following local government areas: Brimbank, Hobsons Bay & Maribyrnong.
đŞ What Youâll Be Doing:
â˘Collaborate with Cricket Victoria staff to deliver the Region Plan.
â˘Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders like clubs, associations, local councils, and schools.
â˘Grow participation among key groups, including kids (5â12 years), women and girls, and CALD communities.
â˘Strengthen club-school connections to help participants move into club cricket.
â˘Support clubs and indoor centres to deliver quality cricket experiences across all levels.
â˘Help clubs and associations apply key Australian Cricket policies (e.g. Safeguarding Children, Member Protection, etc.).
â˘Assist clubs and associations in resolving operational challenges (e.g. competition management, umpire recruitment).
â˘Integrate and use digital tools like Salesforce and PlayHQ to support operations.
â˘Identify ways to use the W/BBLâs profile to boost engagement and interest in cricket.
đŻ What Youâll Bring:
â˘Tertiary qualification in Sports Management, Teaching, Commercial or related field
â˘Experience working and/or volunteering within a sporting association or club
â˘Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills and excellent communication skills
â˘Commitment and willingness to deliver on outcomes and results to achieve increased participation
â˘Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or arranged on appointment)
â˘Current Victoria Driverâs License
â˘Current First Aid & CPR certification (or arranged on appointment)
â˘Availability to work after hours and on weekends
