GEMA Aviation Pty Ltd is currently looking for an experienced cleaner to join our team at Hobart airport.
This position is casual for approximately 18 hours per week, spread out to approx. 3 hours per day (mornings) from Monday to Saturday
(This includes public holidays & Sundays on request)
About the role:
The successful applicant will be dedicated to delivering a professional experience. They will be representing a corporate airline within the airport lounge as a cleaner.
Duties include but are not limited to:
cleaning for the lounge itself and key areas within the airport. Vacuuming, bathroom cleans, window cleaning at ground level, dusting and general tidying. The entire cleaning scope will be discussed with the lounge manager during interviews.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

- Be eligible to obtain an airport clearance which will require a police clearance and OzCheck clearance, completed through the airline upon successful employment along with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the cleaning industry (corporate environment) would be a plus but is not essential
- Exceptional customer service and people skills
- Able to work morning shifts with a start time between 7 AM & 8 AM (flexible with working hours within this timeframe) and able to work weekends, public holidays.
- Hard-working and great time management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and at times with minimal supervision
- Exceptionally well presented and groomed
This is an hourly rate paid role under the hospitality industry general award.
Australian citizens, permanent residents and only some long-term visa holders will be considered. Working holiday visas or temporary visa holders will not be considered for this position due to the airport clearance requirements.
