Overview
Position: Data Analyst We have an immediate opportunity for a Data Analyst to support a government data team on a 2-month contract, with a potential to extend. Full-time availability is preferred, and candidates should ideally be at the ASO3–ASO4 level.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong data analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient in Excel, including working with complex datasets and advanced tools.
* Experience developing visually engaging and meaningful reports and dashboards using data analysis, visualisation, and reporting tools.
* Experience in data population automation using Visual Basic for Applications (preferred).
* Familiarity with R and R Markdown (preferred).
* Ability to quickly learn new applications or systems.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support data collection and input for key reports, including:
o Circular Economy Resource Recovery (CERR) Report 2024–25
o Kerbside Waste Performance Report
o Litter Report
* Assist with other projects and reporting requirements as needed.
* Ensure high-quality, accurate reporting and contribute to process improvements where possible.
Location & Flexibility
Office-based in Waymouth Street, with potential for hybrid work arrangements to be discussed with the manager after commencement.
Pay Rate
$50 per hour plus Super
