Are you passionate about protecting your community and natural environment? We're looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as Ranger/Fire Control Officer. Help us uphold community safety, environmental conservation, and fire prevention across our beautiful region.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce local laws and regulations related to Animal Control, Bushfire Control, Parking, Control of Vehicles, Litter, Caravan and Camping and Council Local Laws. Educate the community on responsible land and fire management practices.Conduct firebreak inspections, issue permits, and assist with fire prevention planning.Respond to incidents and work closely with emergency services and local stakeholders.Support the coordination of controlled burns and emergency fire responses as needed.
About You
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for community engagement.Sound knowledge of fire prevention, emergency response, and relevant local government to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.Completion of Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 & 2 (formerly known as Municipal Law A & B) or equivalent qualifications highly desirable.Current driver's licence (essential).Flexibility and availability to work weekends on a rotating roster, as operational needs require.
