Join our Dynamic team in Port Macquarie:
As part of our team in Port Macquarie you have the opportunity to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team alongside 9 therapists. Our Speechies, Physios and OTs have a mindset of continuous improvement and community engagement, and our self-identified team values are: Kind, supportive, trusting and agile.
Our caseload at Port Macquarie is very diverse with about 75% clients with CP+ and 25% other disabilities (ASD, GDD etc) with a fairly even spread of paediatric and adult clients. Working in a regional area provides opportunity for rapid career development; therapists will have the opportunity to work with a huge breadth of diagnoses, ages, and disability types, as well as custom moulded seating, high-tech AAC, early intervention and complex mealtime management.
The clinic is exceptionally well-resourced with 4 specialist treatment rooms, Pool cars, ceiling hoists, eye-gaze technology, magic carpet, huge selection of toys, full switch kit (environmental access), wheelchair scale etc. Whilst the majority of your clients will be seen in the clinic (about 75%) we also visit some clients in their homes or community settings. We work on a 'regional outreach' model, meaning we service large community hubs in clustered blocks. The frequency of our visits varies, but we will service clients across Port Macquarie/Wauchope, Taree, Forster, Kempsey, and Coffs Harbour.
Port Macquarie is a major regional hub, you can get the flavour of a rural environment whilst still having with access to all necessary resources, lower property costs compared to other coastal towns, and almost no traffic/commute challenges.
