About The Role
This role places you in the centre of the governance and decision-making for the City of Sydney, working within the office of Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Jess Miller.
You'll work in a fast-paced political environment, providing evidence-based advice, creating clear communications, overseeing the smooth running of the office, and leading the work of collaboration and engagement with stakeholders.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
* brings proven experience in providing policy and/ or research advice, including preparation of policy briefs, communications materials, and stakeholder correspondence
* has practical experience in community engagement and stakeholder management, particularly with groups such as community organisations, residents, government agencies and not for profit organisations.
* Is adept at ensuring at managing the processes and requirements of correspondence, diary management and legislative reporting
* Has expertise in crafting communications in video, and print for social media.
* understands the current political landscape, with a particular focus on local issues relevant to the City of Sydney.
Experience working in local, state or federal government is an advantage.
This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
