We're looking for a qualified Social Worker to join the Shoalhaven Binji & Boori Service. If you have experience in managing families with complex health needs and strong skills in communication and engagement with families, staff, and other services, we'd like to hear from you. We value collaboration, proactivity, reliability, and flexibility. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal families such as intergenerational trauma and policies to improve outcomes for Aboriginal families eg.Closing the Gap. Additionally, you will need experience with the First 2000 Days initiative.
Shoalhaven AMICHS, Binji & Boori is part of the Division of Kids & Families and works in collaboration with the Illawarra Binji & Boori team. You will be working in partnership with Aboriginal Heath Workers and other health professionals to deliver high quality care whilst actively working towards maintaining a healthy workplace culture. Ongoing support will be provided by the ISLHD Head of Department for Social Work, as well as peer support from the Division of Kids & Families Social Work network. This will provide support when working with families with complex health and social issues, which has the potential for exposure to trauma.
