Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a senior operational leader to join our team as an Area Manager in the Cairns region.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Frontline Support Services – Oversee the day-to-day operations of Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Access, Transport and In-Home Supports – including service delivery, rostering, workforce planning, and team supervision across Cairns and surrounding regions.
* Drive Service Innovation – Collaborate with the Business Development team to enhance systems and processes that improve the quality and efficiency of client service delivery.
* Foster Strategic Partnerships – Work closely with the Partnerships division to strengthen collaboration with other service providers, empowering participants with greater choice and control.
* Shape New Service Streams – Support the development and implementation of new service offerings, including Support Coordination, Nursing, and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
* Ensure Operational Excellence – Oversee administrative and compliance functions to maintain high-quality standards, meet regulatory requirements, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting across all support services.
* Build Community Connections – Represent the organisation at local networking events, expos, and community forums to strengthen partnerships, raise brand awareness, and promote inclusive support services.
* Drive Innovation and Quality – Proactively identify service gaps, risks, and inconsistencies, implementing corrective actions and championing continuous quality improvement across all areas of support.
* Lead and Inspire Your Team – Provide supervision, coaching, and regular performance development to staff while fostering a values-driven culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Shape the Future of Service Delivery – Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to influence strategic planning, drive program growth, and develop scalable, sustainable service models.
* Support Community Impact Initiatives – Collaborate with the Not-for-Profit division to assist in the development and delivery of community-based programs that empower individuals with disabilities and foster greater inclusion and independence.

* You possess deep understanding of NDIS, SCHADS, Fair Work, and WHS obligations.
* You are tech-savvy and proficient in using CRMs, rostering software, SharePoint, or audit systems.
* You are passionate about mentoring employees and driving positive outcomes for participants.
* You are able to interpret data, trends, and incident reports to inform improvements.
* You possess clear, professional communication skills.
* You are able to assess risk and act with sound judgment under pressure.
