Our client is an Australian solar wholesaler supplying installers, electricians, and solar retailers with the full stack — panels, inverters, battery storage, EV chargers, heat pumps, and mounting hardware. They carry tier-one brands including Sungrow, GoodWe, Solis, Solplanet, Deye, eCactus, Jinko, AIKO, and more.
They're team operates across QLD, NSW & VIC and need a state-side BDM in Melbourne to lead it from the front.
The role
This is a new‐business position with genuine scope. You'll build and grow accounts across residential installers, C&I contractors, and wholesale buyers — developing relationships from first contact through to long‐term, high‐value partnerships.
No micro‐management. No territory cap. Just a strong product range, competitive pricing, and the backing to go and build.
What you'll be doing
* Acquiring and growing residential, C&I, and wholesale accounts across VIC / NSW / QLD
* Building a pipeline of solar installers, electrical contractors, and solar retailers
* Increasing product mix and share of wallet across existing accounts
* Matching the right products to each customer's project requirements
* Representing our client at trade events and industry expos
* Feeding pipeline data and market intel back to the team
What we're looking for
* Experience in solar wholesale, distribution, or trade sales (residential and/or C&I)
* Product knowledge across solar panels, inverters, and battery storage (desirable)
* A hunter mentality with a consultative, relationship‐first approach
* Self‐directed, you're comfortable owning your own schedule and pipeline
* Clear communicator with a sense for B2B relationship building
