Therapeutic Counsellor
We are seeking an experienced Therapeutic Counsellor to provide psychological interventions and support clients through one-on-one and group counselling.
The successful candidate will work primarily with children and young people (up to the age of 24) who have been affected by or are at risk of family and domestic violence, as well as families and individuals experiencing serious or traumatic circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver therapeutic counselling and age-appropriate interventions to children, young people, and families impacted by family and domestic violence
* Provide intensive person-centred case management
* Facilitate group programs
* Offer clinical consultation and mentoring to colleagues
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent
* Eligibility or progress toward professional registration
* 2+ years' experience in counselling, including working with children and young people
* Strong knowledge and application of therapeutic approaches, risk assessment, and trauma-informed practice
* Ability to work autonomously and exercise professional judgement
