Job Overview
The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the building and infrastructure of the Data Center to minimize disruptions to customers and potential financial impact.
* Site Management: Ensuring timely completion of onsite duties and overseeing project progress as expected.
* People Leadership: Leading diverse team members with varied skills, experience, and opportunity areas.
* Capacity Supervision: Managing overall site capacity through collaboration with internal and external teams.
* Project/Infrastructure Management: Planning, coordinating, approving resources to complete projects and maintenance within the Data Center.
* Vendor Governance: Managing vendors to ensure compliance with Equinix standards, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Testing and Validation: Ensuring correct processes are followed, and all documentation is complete. Taking over new builds and building infrastructure. Approving Method of Procedures (MOPs), scripts, and permits.
* Incident Response: Communicating and coordinating activities during complex or severe customer-impacting incidents. Driving root cause analysis, providing clear direction, and driving incident resolution.
This position requires a proactive approach to risk identification and communication, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
