About the Position
This position is a casual position working in our Community Safety team.
As a Community Safety Officer, you will play an important role in delivering security services and supporting the City's commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our community.
In this role you will:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of community safety activities to achieve service goals.
* Undertake security patrols of the community and City assets, providing advice and information on safety matters.
* Respond promptly to service requests and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
* Provide high levels of customer service, including education programs aligned with the City's Customer Service Charter.
* Investigate breaches of legislation, prepare reports, and take enforcement action where required (e.g. parking, animals, litter, hazards, abandoned vehicles).
About You
We are looking for candidates who will bring enthusiasm, passion and strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. You will have the ability to deal with challenging and physically demanding situations, along with proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Applicants will hold a National Police Clearance, Security Licence issued by WA Police, "C" class Drivers Licence, Certificate II in Security Operations and a current First Aid Certificate.
This is a shift work position, and the successful candidate will be required to perform 12-hour shifts, as part of a 24/7 roster.
