Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Program Leader to lead and coordinate the development and implementation of programs acquiring, analysing and maintaining multi-resource inventory, vegetation condition and disturbance/treatment datasets and information to service native forest planning, management and reporting on Department-managed lands.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience leading one or more of the following: multi-resource inventories in natural forest ecosystems; application of remote sensing and ground-based sampling to service forest planning and monitoring of natural vegetation change;
* Measurement of forest carbon changes;
* Applied forest growth modelling;
* Data analysis and data management skills as applied to forest inventory, growth and monitoring;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience providing scientific advice and preparation of reports to publication standard;
* Able to work under pressure and within timelines;
