As our new visionary Head of Media, you'll lead KFC Australia's next era of media strategy and innovation. You'll own the media vision and execution across our entire portfolio including Brand, Value, Calendar programs, Loyalty, Delivery and Media Martech/CDP.

You'll have a mandate to transform how we connect with consumers, driving impact across the organisation while establishing a lean high-performing internal media function.

ABOUT YOU – OUR NEXT ORIGINAL

* Extensive experience in media strategy, planning and activation across digital, social, video, broadcast, OOH and emerging channels.
* Proven track record managing nine-figure budgets, leading complex agency partnerships, and developing high-performing teams.
* Deep expertise across performance digital and traditional broadcast media, with strong understanding of full-funnel media effectiveness.
* Strong knowledge of omnichannel customer journeys and how media influences behaviour across missions, dayparts and touchpoints.
* High fluency across martech, CDP platforms, analytics tools, attribution modelling, MMM/econometrics, and emerging AI applications.
* Well-established and credible network across the Australian media industry, including platforms, media owners and industry bodies.
* Exceptional strategic thinking paired with operational discipline — able to set long-term vision while driving day-to-day excellence.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR NEW ROLE

Strategic Media Leadership

* Define and deliver Media Strategy & Vision across all markets and initiatives.
* Lead the Modern Marketing Playbook, ensuring alignment to the overarching customer strategy, missions and dayparts.
* Build an integrated, omnichannel media approach that balances long-term brand growth with short-term commercial conversion.
* Architect a modern media ecosystem that connects touchpoints into a seamless customer journey.
* Drive innovation through real-time content, cultural participation, automation and first-party data activation.
* Oversee our integrated media budget to optimise investment.

Industry Leadership & Partnerships

* Represent KFC as a top-tier advertiser.
* Secure first-to-market opportunities, beta access, enterprise-level value and new commercial models with strategic partners.
* Lead negotiations and governance frameworks tied to platform and media-owner agreements.
* Identify partnership opportunities that strengthen data, content, franchisee value and customer growth.

Stakeholder Education, Influence & Org Effectiveness

* Elevate media literacy across the organisation.
* Educate franchisees on media, effectiveness, optimisation and strategy.
* Influence senior stakeholders using data, econometric insights, competitive intelligence and cultural trend analysis.
* Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity and continuous improvement.

Agency Leadership & Ways of Working

* Manage media agency relationships with clear expectations for strategy, planning, buying and ROI delivery.
* Redefine and embed new systems and ways of working.
* Ensure KFC has full visibility into commercial negotiations, trading practices and value delivery.
* Build capability in social operations, optimisation, content & AI tools.

Performance, Effectiveness & Analytics

* Spearhead a new Commercial Mix Model in partnership with Insights, Analytics and agency partners.
* Define clear effectiveness /success frameworks across all pillars.
* Drive rigorous test-and-learn programs to accelerate learning, optimisation and growth experimentation.
* Partner with our Digital Team to evolve the martech roadmap and strategy.

AI, Technology & Automation Leadership

* Drive adoption of AI and automation.
* Deploy new AI tools for content generation, testing, targeting and modelling.
* Build future-state media workflows that reduce waste, increase speed to market and amplify creativity.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

* Inspire, coach and upskill the team, building confidence, capability and commercial understanding.
* Design clear career pathways, strengthening our media talent pipeline.
* Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, experimentation and high performance.
