A Townsville-based NDIS registered provider is seeking an experienced and reliable part-time casual Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely while supporting a purpose‑driven organisation.
Your new role
You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate, compliant bookkeeping practices in line with NDIS requirements. This is a casual, part-time position, with flexible hours that may vary week to week. Remote work options are available for the right Responsibilities
* Processing accounts payable and receivable
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Invoicing and payment tracking (including NDIS claims where applicable)
* Payroll support, including STP and superannuation
* BAS preparation support and liaison with our accountant
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
* Supporting month‑end and reporting activities
* Ensuring compliance with NDIS and Australian accounting requirements
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within an NDIS or disability services setting
* Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping practices, BAS and payroll
* Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB or similar)
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
* Professional, confidential and reliable approach
* Excellent communication skills
