**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Coal Quality & Logistics Coordinator to become a valued member of our Technical Services team at Mount Thorley Warkworth Mine. Reporting the Geology Superintendent, you will be a key communication link between our site operational teams, Technical Services team and our Logistics-Marketing team. You will be pivotal in recognizing and identifying blending opportunities to maximise our resource effectiveness and achieve the best value for the mine and Yancoal. The role will require:
- Site stockpile management and scheduling of railings in line with production forecasts and sales profile;
- Optimisation of blending in line with coal quality targets;
- Engagement and communication with stakeholders, including planning, production, logistics and marketing;
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly reporting;
This role will be required to work an 8/6 roster.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Bachelors degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or Business (or equivalent)
- 2-5 years experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry, ideally:
- Pit Geology and/or exploration
- CHPP/Production
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills;
- Proven problem solving and influencing skills;
- Good understanding of the variability and complexity of coal quality in thin seam mining;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
