* Graphic Design – design coin packaging materials, exhibition graphics, etc.
* Engineering – technical support and manufacturing operations.

About the Branch

MaPE also oversees public programs, with large engagement activities like our 'Last Coin' (Dec 31) and 'First Coin' (Jan 1) and an annual 'Family Fun Day'. MaPE is the team responsible for the stewardship of the National Coin Collection, and the Curators and Collections Officer team not only care for and build that collection, but draw from it for the curation of our Museum exhibitions and digital programs. Works are planned for a new collection storage facility within the Royal Australian Mint footprint to ensure the National Coin Collection is well managed for future generations.

The Royal Australian Mint features a recently upgraded exhibition space detailing the history of the Australian coin-making and currency journey. Our refreshed visitor experience showcases industrial design, Australian social history a Special Exhibition Gallery, as well as the Mint Shop and Café and our visitor-favourite Factory Viewing Gallery.
