Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Gas Drainage Specialist. As part of our Technical Services department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on gas drainage network design, planning, and management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground mining, with experience in gas drainage and surface gas drainage plant operation. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in underground mining (essential)
* Underground gas drainage and surface gas drainage plant experience (essential)
* High level knowledge of ventilation systems, plant & machinery and how to provide consistent maintenance, planning and servicing practices
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to influence & negotiate effectively
* Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Mining Supervisor (Deputy) qualification (essential)
* Ventilation Officer qualifications (desirable)
* Unwavering commitment to safety with exceptional awareness & knowledge of relevant legislation
* Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
