Opportunity: We’re recruiting a Risk & Quality Assurance Analyst within the Claims Operational Excellence Team for Tesco Insurance and Money Services. Location: Newcastle (hybrid; travel to the office 2 days per week). Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus & Advantages. Employment type: Permanent. Work Level: 1. About the role: As a Risk & Quality Assurance Analyst, you will support in developing and delivering risk control and Quality Assurance activities within Claims. This includes the opportunity to recommend changes to systems, technology, and processes across the Claims function to support continuous improvement of our control framework and assurance activity.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Risk and Quality Assurance Manager in planning Business Process Reviews and audit schedules.
- Developing and delivering Business Process Reviews within Claims systems/process or change activity.
- Influencing collaborators and managing difficult and complex messages.
- Undertaking internal assurance reviews and claims supplier assurance reviews in a timely manner in accordance with the audit plan.
- Identifying areas of good practice and areas for improvement; working with claims team leaders and management to develop and agree action plans.
- Ensuring required standards of claims handling are adhered to, with reference to regulatory guidelines and compliance frameworks.
- Supporting the team with identification of ineffective controls and recommending solutions where appropriate.

- Proven project management skills; evidence of delivering process reviews/audits in a highly regulated environment.
- Solution-focused with a proven track record of delivery.
- Desirable: Previous Claims experience; pursuing or holding a qualification in Risk or Audit with support to continue gaining relevant qualifications.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and presenting complex information to them.
