Our client is seeking to engage a Senior Integration & API Developer to join a dynamic Digital Solutions team. This pivotal role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting enterprise grade APIs and integration solutions using Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud platforms.
You will play a key role in solution design, technical leadership, and operational support, working across cloud and on premises environments. The role also includes leading small to medium technical initiatives, collaborating with external providers, and mentoring team members to ensure high quality, secure, and supportable solutions.
About the Role
As a Senior Integration and API Developer, you will be responsible for delivering scalable and reliable integration solutions that support learning, teaching, administrative, and enterprise data platforms. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, while ensuring systems meet operational, security, and service level expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical initiatives from scope definition through to implementation, ensuring delivery aligns with business and technical requirements
* Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and integration workflows using MS .NET, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps
* Manage small to medium projects, including coordination with external service providers, monitoring progress, and resolving issues
* Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of application, integration, and data solutions
* Undertake complex programming, configuration, and system maintenance activities
* Ensure production systems meet service level agreements, security standards, and operational requirements
* Monitor system performance and capacity, recommending and implementing improvements where required
* Develop and maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and maintenance plans
