Lead employee relations while supporting broader HR initiatives
Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for employee relations and a solid foundation in generalist HR? We’re looking for a HR Professional to provide expert ER guidance while supporting key people and culture initiatives across the business.
About the Role Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Manager, this is a hands‑on role where you’ll take the lead on complex employee relations matters, while also contributing to broader HR activities including workforce planning, talent development, and policy improvement. You'll act as a trusted partner to leaders, helping shape a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advice on employee relations issues including investigations, performance management, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
Interpret and apply Modern Awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work legislation.
Coach and support managers to build people leadership capability.
Support a range of generalist HR functions including onboarding, workforce planning, and employee lifecycle initiatives.
Assist in developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement of people processes.
Build strong partnerships across teams to support engagement and retention.
About You
Proven experience in an ER or HR, manager/advisor role, ideally with exposure to both ER and generalist HR within a logistics, manufacturing, warehouse or other industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace legislation.
Previous experience in negotiating EBA’s and working with unions
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage sensitive matters with discretion.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
