Senior Associate Recruitment Consultant at Beaumont People (Education & Government Specialist)
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Customer Support Officer to join our client’s IT support team. This role is responsible for providing a range of frontline computing and audio-visual services, including customer support at any ITS service point, as well as assistance via email, in person, and over the phone.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide information and advice on Information Technology Services policies and procedures
* Resolve a high percentage of incidents and enquiries at the first point of contact
* Receive and prioritise incident reports
* Log incidents in the fault tracking system
* Track incidents from report to resolution to ensure customer satisfaction
* Assist and instruct customers in the use of ITS equipment, resources, and facilities, including computers, audio-visual equipment, software, and systems
About You
* Successful completion of Year 12 and progress towards a degree or diploma in Information Technology or Information Management; or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, experience, and training (a completed degree or diploma in IT is desirable)
* Strong customer service and call-handling experience, both in person and over the phone
* Proven ability to manage high-volume Service Desk enquiries efficiently
* Experience in a structured IT Service Desk environment (experience in higher education is preferred)
* ServiceNow experience would be a bonus
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing your own tasks
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong ability to prioritise and multitask
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Advanced computer skills
* Familiarity with networks, hardware, software, and operating systems, including audio-visual technologies
* Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to change
Please note: This is a temporary role and you must be available to start in the coming weeks. The position is full-time (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm), and may lead to permanent opportunities. You must be based on the Gold Coast due to the role commencing shortly.
