Job Title: Program Coordinator for School-Aged Children
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic program coordinator to join our team at one of our services in the Northern Rivers region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in building strong relationships with children and families, while helping to deliver engaging active programs for school-aged children.
The role includes leading day-to-day operations at the service, ensuring a fun, safe, and enriching environment for school-aged children.
* Develop and facilitate engaging programs that include sports, games, cooking, art, and craft, catering to individual and group needs.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.
* Supervise and mentor educators, junior employees, and students to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Ensure a safe and inclusive environment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
This role includes regular meetings with your team and occasional travel to our head office.
Weekly hours and flexibility
* Minimum 15 hours per week, with potential to increase to 30 hours during vacation care or peak periods.
* Weekly contract hours are worked within the service operational hours.

What we're looking for
* Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent) OR 3+ years of experience working with school-aged children.
* Ability to work independently and supervise groups of up to 15 children.
* Experience in leading and mentoring staff in an education setting.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of childhood development, programming, and regulations.
* Ability to use digital and cloud-based systems for administration and reporting.
Additional requirements
* Current NSW Working with Children Check.
* Current Driver's License.
* Willingness to undertake a National Police Check.
