Job Description:
We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to provide specialist knowledge, advice, and support across the full range of human resources functions. These include coordinating and administering HR operations to ensure effective delivery of services, supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit processes, developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and documentation, and providing advice to managers and staff on HR matters and compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and administer HR operations to ensure effective delivery of services
* Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit processes
* Assist in the development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and documentation
* Provide advice to managers and staff on HR matters and compliance with relevant legislation
* Support performance management, job evaluation, and staff development initiatives
* Contribute to WH&S activities and workplace wellbeing initiatives
* Prepare and manage employment contracts and correspondence
* Provide backup support for payroll processing
* Assist with HR data management, reporting, and project work
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience may be considered
* At least three years' experience in an HR generalist role
* Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices, procedures, and relevant legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Well-developed analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
* Experience in small to medium-sized organisations
* Knowledge of integrated database systems and HR reporting tools
