Project managers play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of supply chain network design projects from inception to operational efficiency. They oversee project coordination, manage transition periods with a focus on inventory management, and drive continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Governance:
* Provide full governance over the network design project.
* Coordinate and oversee all functions throughout the project phases.
* Ensure the project's successful completion within the planned scope and timeline while minimizing operational disruptions.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
* Act as the primary contact for all project-related streams.
* Drive and track project tasks, ensuring accountability and progress.
* Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local policies.
3. Process Improvement:
* Review reports and dashboards to evaluate project performance.
* Conduct ongoing assessments of project efficiency and effectiveness.
* Implement strategies to drive process efficiency improvements.
4. Supply Chain Collaboration:
* Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure seamless project deployment.
* Align project activities with internal policies and procedures.
5. Inventory Management:
* Manage the transition between the current and future 3PL network, ensuring a smooth and efficient handover.
* Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce wastage.
Requirements:
As a project manager in supply chain with warehouse / network development or similar projects, you will have strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, along with the ability to work independently. A deep understanding of Supply Chain focusing on Primary Freight / Secondary Freight logistics is required.
