* Role Type: Casual – flexible working shifts across all days
* Roster Hours: (Indicative shifts, roster may vary based on facility needs)
o Week 1: Mon, Wed, Thu (9:30 AM‐5:30 PM)
o Week 2: Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun (6:00 AM‐2:00 PM)
* Location: Caboolture – QLD
* Remuneration: $39.28 ph (incl. 25 % casual loading) + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to staff discounts & benefits.
Your Role – More Than Just Cooking
* Prepares and presents varied, nourishing, and appetizing meals that align with dietary needs and preferences.
* Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring hygiene and compliance standards.
* Collaborates with catering staff, residents, and care teams to enhance meal services.
* Works with the Head Chef to foster a high‐performance and team‐driven culture.
* Assists with menu planning, budgeting, and stock control.
* Collaborates and innovates with the team to deliver continuous improvement in cost‐effectiveness and resident satisfaction.
What You Bring to the Table
* A relevant trade qualification (Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
* Experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally in aged care or large‐scale catering.
* A valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
* Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff.
* Knowledge of safe food handling practices and WHS compliance.
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
