Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Project Delivery Manager to take a lead role on the Hunter Class Frigate Project — one of Australia's most significant Defence acquisition projects. Based in Kings Park - Sydney, this role offers exposure to the Australian Defence Industry, and our European supply partners, with accountability for both project and contract delivery outcomes across hardware and non-hardware streams.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading delivery performance, managing contractual obligations ensuring hardware and non-hardware deliverables are achieved on schedule, while developing and implementing strategies for effective operational delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of project and contract outcomes for assigned Hunter Class work packages.
* Ensure contractual compliance and performance across head and sub-contracts.
* Drive integrated planning, resource coordination, and schedule performance.
* Manage complex stakeholder interfaces across OEMs, Prime, and the internal Penske Team to ensure smooth transition from acquisition to through-life support.
* Monitoring and reporting on project and financial performance, ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Align and deconflict internal project pressures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery frameworks within DPG.
About you:
* Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects across the full lifecycle.
* Strong commercial and contract management capability.
* Experience working within, or adjacent to, Defence or highly regulated environments
* Familiarity with ADF procurement processes and responding to tenders.
* Confident stakeholder manager, able to operate across multiple organisations and cultures.
* Able to achieve and maintain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required); dual citizenship may impact suitability due to ITAR/EAR regulations.
