About the role
This role is for a committed hospitality professional looking to contribute and learn from an already strong kitchen team. Key factors and duties for this role include.
* Uphold a high standard of preparation and cooking on a daily basis
* Collaborate with fellow chefs to ensure seamless kitchen operations
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a fun & collaborative environment
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness & sanitation both personally and professionally
About you
As a member of the Whalebone kitchen team driving the restaurant forward applicants must have the follow,
* Cert III in commercial cookery
* Experience in fine dining and/or seafood restaurant preferred but not essential
* Fantastic time management & punctuality
* Strong communication skills & ability to work well within a team environment
* A positive attitude towards the business & coworkers
* Have an attention to detail & passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences
* Basic understanding of HACCP & food safety procedures
