Essential Requirements for role:
24 months minimum solid experience with fixed plant maintenance, conveyor system maintenance preferrable
Minimum trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical trade (Mechanical Fitter), Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication trade (Boilermaker)
Potential ability to become a leading hand
Experienced in Hydraulic tech, GBX, motor, pulley replacement/refurbishment in conveyor system
Reliable and take pride of the work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Full Australian Work Rights
White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space
Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Check certificate
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment & DAS
High risk licence: EWP, LF, DG, IR, CN or Overhead crane
Days, Nights and Weekends Available.
Key Responsibilities (Mechanical Fitter):
Undertake scheduled, planned and corrective maintenance to fixed plant and machinery with the focus on preventing downtime and keeping equipment running smoothly and reliably.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to maintain optimal production output.
Familiar with different types of couplings
Replace conveyor gearbox, motor and pulley couplings and bearings.
Carry out repair action required to manufacturer's specifications and relevant Australian standards.
Isolate equipment and follow strict safety and maintenance procedures.
Conduct mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work.
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
Record accurate maintenance tasks and reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
Uphold high standards of safety, housekeeping, and waste minimization.
Key Responsibilities (Boilermaker):
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, production schedules and other technical documents to fabricate, assemble, and repair a variety of equipment and metal components, and determine job instructions and specifications.
Operate a range of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, Oxy welding and stick welding.
Perform cutting etc with oxy/acetylene.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
Carry out maintenance and repair work on conveyor belt system
Communicate and collaborate with other trades people and team members to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, and ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained.
