At Too Good To Go we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted, and 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.
Our marketplace app connects businesses with surplus food, with consumers who buy it at 1/3 of the retail value. We are a certified B‐Corp, and our community now includes 122 million registered users and 249,000 active partners across 21 countries. Having already saved 463 million meals worldwide, we need you to help us drive further success across Australia.
We are company culture focused and have earned recognition such as the Australian Best Places To Work list for small companies (July 2025), Fortune's 'Change the World' list (2023), Deloitte's 'Best Managed Companies', Apple App Store Awards and the Banksia Foundation National Sustainability Awards.
Field Sales Specialist
As a Field Sales Specialist in our Melbourne team, you will introduce Too Good To Go to local businesses in the Inner Northern suburbs and forge partnerships that support our mission. You'll engage restaurants, cafés, convenience stores and bakeries, showcasing the benefits of joining our platform.
Through proactive outreach—cold calling, email, and face‐to‐face meetings—you'll ignite enthusiasm for Too Good To Go within the Australian market and create lasting, impactful partnerships. The stores you sign up will continue their food‐saving journey long into the future—building your personal legacy with the company and our mission.
This role combines in‐office days with field work, balancing togetherness, work flexibility and great customer engagement.
We are looking for:
* Engaging Communicators: Confident individuals with exceptional communication skills and a knack for building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* Tenacious Prospectors: Ambitious individuals who thrive in high‐volume cold‐calling environments, with a background in business development or sales prospecting preferred.
* Team Players: Collaborative individuals who align with Too Good To Go's mission and enjoy sharing insights and best practices within a supportive sales environment.
* Results‐Oriented Performers: Consistent achievers who excel at meeting both individual and team targets, driven by a desire for impact and continuous improvement.
* Growth Mindset: Individuals who are adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to embodying our values in the Australian market.
* Ownership Mentality: Proactive self‐stators who take accountability for their performance, effectively manage workloads and communicate transparently with managers.
* Resilience & emotional intelligence: An ability to bounce back when the going gets tough, support teammates, and understand partner needs.
* Additional Language Skills: Fluency in languages beyond English is an advantage.
If you have:
* An interest in business and sales and a desire to learn.
* High energy and self‐motivation.
* First‐class communication skills—from listening to presenting ideas and persuading.
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills.
* Driven not only by individual performance but also by the desire to see your team succeed.
* Full Australian working rights.
* Outside of the visa, if you don't meet 100% of the qualifications above, tell us why you'd still be a great fit for this role in your cover letter.
We recognise that every individual has a unique background that brings value, so we don't require the following specific experience, but it would be nice if you have:
* Experience in a sales role, specifically outbound sales where you have pitched and closed opportunities over the phone and in person.
* Experience cold‐calling, demonstrating resilience and motivation to achieve high call volumes.
* Experience managing your own sales pipeline and prioritising data based on insights. Having worked with Salesforce is a plus, but any experience using a CRM tool will be useful.
