About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to deliver critical infrastructure projects across the South West Interconnected System (SWIS). Working within the Generation Projects team, you will oversee the construction and deconstruction of generation assets including thermal, wind, solar, and hybrid systems. This role involves managing contractors, resources, and schedules while ensuring compliance, safety, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects
* Monitor progress, manage risk, and maintain documentation
* Ensure compliance with safety, governance, and contractual requirements
* Manage project resources, budgets, and schedules
* Coordinate commissioning activities and project handovers
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills and Experience Required
* Background in Electrical and Construction Projects
* Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Sound knowledge of project governance, safety, and compliance processes
* Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project priorities
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, or related field beneficial
