Location: The position can be based in any of our offices including Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst or Broken Hill.
The IT Officer plays a key role in keeping Western NSW Primary Health Network's (WNSW PHN) people connected, empowered, and able to deliver great work through reliable, user‐centred technology. This role brings deep technical capability together with a strong service mindset to provide a broad range of support to the team.
Beyond day‐to‐day support, the role contributes to planning, implementation, and continuous improvement activities that strengthen WNSW PHN digital foundations. The IT Officer also builds capability across the organisation, and ensures that WHAL's technology environment is accessible, culturally safe, and aligned with how people work.

Selection Criteria
Essential
* Significant experience providing practical, hands‐on IT support to staff, systems, and services in a multi‐site or distributed environment.
* Strong working knowledge of core Microsoft 365, including Intune, Entra, Purview and Azure.
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure management.
* Strong experience in project management and disaster recovery planning.
* Capacity to travel within western NSW; hold a current driver's licence.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, while staying personable and approachable.
Desirable
* Experience supporting remote and hybrid workers.
* Experience with hardware lifecycle tasks.
* ITIL v4 (or higher).
* Cisco CCNA (or higher).
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS‐900).
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ‐900).
* Proficiency in Microsoft SQL database administration.
* Experience working in the health, NGO or community services sectors.
* Experience in working with Aboriginal people, organisations and communities in view of planning and implementing services and achieving outcomes for Aboriginal people.
