Job Description About the team and the role Reporting directly to the General Manager, Aviation Relationships, you'll be at the forefront of fostering strong connections with our airline partners. Your role will involve setting ambitious programs, targets, and standards to ensure top-notch airline satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with the aviation relationships team and the broader business to facilitate impactful airline forums, stay updated on industry trends, and proactively address any challenges. The Aviation Relationships team is dedicated to ensuring Sydney Airport maintains consistent and effective engagement with our aviation partners and key industry stakeholders. Our mission is to protect and enhance Sydney Airport’s reputation while garnering support for innovative business initiatives. Please note this is a 15-month parental leave contract. In this role, you will have the opportunity to You will be instrumental in building and delivering engagement processes, gathering and interpreting data to provide a clear picture of our airline relationships. This vital intel will empower our team and executives to excel in delivering for our airline partners and aligning with Sydney Airport’s strategic goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, project delivery, commercial, aviation deals, and growth, ensuring seamless alignment with our priorities. Regular engagement with key airline contacts will help us understand their priorities, concerns, and issues, informing our initiatives and enhancing service delivery. Your role will involve managing a comprehensive CRM database of key stakeholders and working closely with our Operations teams to continually improve the airline experience by identifying and resolving pain points. You'll lead proactive engagement initiatives and events, track and report on industry trends, prepare and present regular reports on the status and impact of airline partnerships, and create updates and briefing notes for Senior Management and the Board. About you Industry experience: Relevant experience in aviation, government or airlines is highly regarded. Strong relationship-building and communication skills: Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, articulate complex concepts, and present compelling arguments clearly and persuasively. Commercial and strategic mindset: Capable of balancing hands-on tactical service delivery with strategic thinking to support business initiatives. Collaborative and independent working style: Ability to work effectively within a team or autonomously, with the capacity to quickly identify and resolve issues. Proven project and program management: Experience managing projects or programs with a focus on delivering results in complex operational environments. Customer and stakeholder engagement experience: Proficiency in managing relationships, particularly using CRM systems like Power BI & Salesforce/Consultation Manager. Commercial acumen and negotiation skills: Ability to influence decisions, decipher contracts, and navigate business environments with a solid understanding of industry dynamics.
