Business Analyst

Project Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support upcoming projects across their portfolio. This key role focuses on delivering customer-focused, scalable solutions that meet business and operational requirements. The BA will initially work on planning activities, including project scoping, tendering, and business case preparation, before moving into broader project delivery or other applications-based initiatives. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, process improvement, and contributing to the successful delivery of practical, business-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Capture, analyse, and document business requirements
* Map
as-is
and
to-be
processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops and manage expectations
* Support project lifecycle activities, including initiation, planning, and operational handover
* Apply lean process improvement to identify areas of waste and enhance efficiency
* Contribute to procurement processes (RFP, RFQ, RFT) and evaluation support where required
* Lead project planning activities when PM support is limited
Skills & Experience
* Strong core BA skills - requirements gathering, workshops, data analysis, benefits realisation
* Confident communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into lay terms
* Agile environment experience, without necessarily implementing Agile methodology
* Experience in utilities, mining, or similar sectors highly desirable
* Dynamic, flexible, and creative with the ability to deliver innovative solutions
