The Maintenance Planner at York Glass is responsible for ensuring all production machinery and plant equipment operate reliably and efficiently through careful planning, coordination, and monitoring of maintenance activities.
Key Duties:
Develops and implements preventive and routine maintenance schedules to maximise the performance and uptime of all plant machinery in the aluminium windows and doors production facility.
Organises and supervises maintenance operations, ensuring that both in-house teams and external contractors perform their work efficiently and on schedule.
Monitors equipment performance and identifies potential issues before they affect production, prioritising tasks to minimise downtime.
Maintains records of maintenance work, service logs, and compliance documentation to ensure alignment with industry standards and workplace safety requirements.
Collaborates with production and engineering teams to support process improvements, ensuring smooth operation of fabrication, assembly, and finishing equipment.
Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial or a related field OR a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
Hands-on experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
Familiarity with maintenance systems, equipment lifecycle management and continuous improvement practices
Strong analytical, organisational and multi-tasking skills
Effective communication skills for working across multidisciplinary teams
Sound understanding of workplace safety obligations and compliance requirements
