About The Position This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Formwork Carpenter who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a close-knit, high-performing team. You'll play a key role in delivering civil construction and maintenance projects across Wollongong, contributing to essential infrastructure like footpaths, drainage systems, and more. If you're safety-conscious, adaptable, and motivated, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in your community. As part of a five-person crew, you'll be involved in setting up formwork for a variety of projects including cycleways, bridges, and concrete structures. You'll also read plans, estimate materials, and assist with site setup and construction. This is an active role where your skills are valued, your contributions matter, you will have the satisfaction of meaningful work, and the flexibility to maintain a healthy balance between your career and personal life. This position is physically demanding, applicants should be suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description. This role may occasionally require weekend or overtime work. This position is based on a 9-day fortnight with regular roster days. About You You hold a Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework, Civil Engineering Carpentry, Carpentry or an equivalent trade qualification, along with a current Class C Driver's Licence and WHS General Construction Induction White Card. You have solid experience in formwork carpentry, particularly in constructing and maintaining civil infrastructure like footpaths, drainage, and concrete structures. You are someone who's ready to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Safety is your top priority-you understand WHS principles and apply them daily on-site.
