Family Support Professional

As a Family Connect and Support (FCS) Worker, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering timely and effective support services. Your work will focus on connecting families with the necessary resources to overcome challenges and thrive.
You will collaborate closely with a network of service providers across various regions, ensuring that families receive comprehensive support. This involves intake and referral services, as well as case coordination to meet individual needs. With a strong emphasis on early intervention and prevention, this role allows you to actively contribute to child wellbeing and promote positive environments for young people.
The position is ongoing and part-time, working 0.6 FTE, 3 days a week. You will be based in Batemans Bay within our Out of Home Care (OOHC) Program. The role reports directly to the Family Connect and Support – Team Leader.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that vulnerable children, young people, and families receive services tailored to their needs.
- Utilizing a child-centred and family-focused approach to identify strengths, risks, and protective factors.
- Establishing collaborative relationships with various services to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Provide intake, referral, and case coordination services that cater to the needs of vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
- Deliver culturally competent services responsive to the needs of Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) families.
- Manage a caseload and ensure individual targets are met; maintain accurate client records using the client management system, collecting and reviewing relevant data.
- Provide feedback to referrers and stakeholders.
