We are seeking a talented and creative Hairdresser or Barber to join our busy salon in Alice Springs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about styling, enjoys working with clients, and wants to be part of a supportive and dynamic team.
About the Role:
You'll be providing high-quality hair services to a diverse client base, ensuring every guest leaves looking and feeling their best. From classic cuts to modern styles, chemical treatments to grooming, you'll showcase your expertise while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer personalised advice on hair care routines, styling options, and product use
* Wash, treat, and nourish hair and scalps to maintain health and shine
* Apply chemical treatments such as colouring, straightening, perming, and smoothing
* Cut, shape, and trim hair using scissors, clippers, and razors
* Create a variety of styles, including braids, dreadlocks, and extensions
* Groom, trim, and style facial hair including beards and moustaches
* Keep salon tools sanitised and work areas neat and hygienic
* Manage bookings, handle payments, and ensure smooth appointment flow
About You:
* Qualified & experienced hairdresser with hands-on salon experience
* Minimum of 3-5 years of professional salon experience required
* Creative flair with strong technical skills across all hair types
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, professional, and passionate about the hair and beauty industry
* Australian work rights required (sponsorship available for suitable candidates)
