The resource will discuss with their manager beforehand to issue any orders and will send orders to the suppliers.Main duties and responsibilitiesSupporting the Material & Equipment Manager to define the strategy.Defining the Vendor List, preparing the request for proposal to send to suppliers, and managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities with the identified Vendors to pursue savings, synergy, qualitative excellence, and lead time optimization.Performing cost analysis, comparison, and assessment of offers, ensuring they are technically checked by requesting Corporate Departments/Operational Units, and preparing summary tables of the final offers and recommendations in accordance with procedures.Operating in full compliance with the Project procedures.Managing supplier relations, in compliance with the Company's Code of Ethics, its Organization, Management and Control Model, and its Anti-Corruption Model.Ensuring the successful delivery of the Project within the required constraints for time, cost, quality, safety, environment, and the community.Conducting market surveys, comparing technical and economical assets, and dealing with the applicants and suppliers to find the best technical and economical proposal for purchasing.Reviewing planned expenditure against budget and obtaining approval for all procurements.Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.Managing relationships and conditions with suppliers.Working with Department Heads to identify timelines required in the procurement of goods and services.Expediting deliveries with suppliers as required.Ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with Project deadlines.Drawing up the terms and conditions of Purchase Orders, with the support of the Legal Department and Contract Department, while also coordinating with requesting Departments.The above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.RequirementsMinimum 4 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role - preferred.Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable project works.Experience in Microsoft Office suite.Sound knowledge of construction materials and strong experience within the heavy construction industry.Sound understanding of local and international import/export legislation or requirements.Language: fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage.A strong commitment to a team-based environment.Strong problem-solving ability.Well-developed time management skills.Solid technical writing and communication skills.Good understanding of financial accounting concepts.Ability to work to deadlines and targets, whilst also being able to prioritize.Exceptional attention to detail.Webuild is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
