About the opportunity

The Learning Technologist will work as part of a team to provide technical support to academic and professional staff in the design, development, management, and delivery of online and blended courses and units. In this people-focused role, they will provide expert advice about the best practices in the use of technologies for the development of engaging learning content and activities. This is a key role in assisting staff to develop their digital capabilities in learning and teaching.

What you'll do:

* Provide specialist, professional advice and support to academic and professional staff on teaching, learning and assessment with digital technologies.
* Manage tasks supporting online learning and teaching in unit contexts, such as the creation and preparation of high quality, UDL informed online learning environments.
* Continuously develop and improve knowledge, skills and processed in the use of new and existing learning technologies.
* Identify opportunities to refine processes to improve productivity within the Curriculum Design and Innovation team, particularly using generative AI and other emerging technologies.
* Deliver high-quality and accurate work, ensuring alignment with institutional standards, and collaborate across academic support teams and academic units.

What we're looking for:

* Completion of relevant degree and subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and/or training.
* Experience using learning management systems (in particular, D2L Brightspace) and integrated systems e.g. PebblePad and Echo360.
* Skilled in creating high‐quality HTML, media, and interactive content aligned with accessibility, copyright, and UDL standards.
* Demonstrated excellence in communicating with academic staff and others who have a range of technical understanding.
* Adept in keeping up to date with current learning technologies and producing succinct, accurate guides and training for staff as required.
* Proven expertise in integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence tools within educational settings.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
