About the Role
The Network Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable, secure, and high-performing operation of ICT network infrastructure. This requires a proactive and analytical approach to network management, leveraging monitoring systems, advanced diagnostic tools, and trend analysis to identify potential issues, implement preventative measures, and drive continuous improvement.
The Network Engineer is accountable for maximising network availability and performance. As a key member of the Operations team, they provide expert-level ownership and resolution of network-related incidents and queries.
This Network Engineer will collaborate with internal stakeholders across all business units to understand their evolving needs, translate them into effective network solutions, and ensure the seamless delivery of ICT services.
About You
We are looking for people who possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:
* A relevant Tertiary Degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
* Current Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) certification or an equivalent industry-recognised certification with a commitment to maintaining currency.
* Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
* 3-5 years of demonstrable experience providing comprehensive ICT support within complex, large-scale, multi-site environments.
* Proficient in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions (Firewalls, Switches, WiFi, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, etc.) and Cisco Switches.
* Demonstrated experience in securing network infrastructure with a proactive 'cyber security mindset' integrated into all ICT system interactions and configurations.
* Extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving complex network and ICT system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a team of ICT professionals, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
