The Role
This is a busy, hands‐on role requiring strong judgement and a clear understanding of what makes a great fit for the business. Reporting to the Talent & Retention Manager, you will work alongside hiring managers as a trusted business partner, supporting them to understand team challenges and people needs. Together, you will deliver recruitment process, providing fit‐for‐purpose recruitment and selection solutions across the business. Based at our corporate office this role is a 12‐month fixed term contract covering parental leave, with the possibility of extension.
About You
You have an HR background and are highly driven, self‐motivated, and comfortable working autonomously. You bring a positive attitude, strong people skills, and the confidence to make sound decisions and provide clear, practical advice.
Experience & Capability
You bring 3+ years' recruitment experience across both salaried and blue‐copper roles. You are skilled in creating compelling job ads, conducting effective role briefings, managing high‐volume and high‐value recruitment, and using creative recruitment marketing to attract quality talent. You are approachable, hardworking, well‐organised, and confident in partnering with hiring managers to achieve the right outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, workforce needs, and team challenges, providing trusted recruitment advice and support
* Deliver and coordinate recruitment activities, including role briefings, job advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and offer support
* Lead and manage the candidate vetting process, including police checks, pre‐employment medicals, reference checks, and role‐specific compliance requirements
* Develop fit‐for‐purpose sourcing strategies across salaried and blue‐copper roles using creative recruitment marketing and proactive talent sourcing
* Coach and support hiring managers through best‐practice recruitment and selection processes to ensure quality, compliant hiring decisions
* Manage candidate experience and stakeholder communication throughout the recruitment lifecycle, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
* Act as a trusted subject matter expert
