The Role

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior B2B sales professional to play a key role in Australia’s energy transition. The focus of the role is to engage with large commercial and industrial organisations, helping them unlock new revenue opportunities while advancing their sustainability goals.

We’re seeking a driven and disciplined individual with a genuine interest in energy and innovation. You’ll thrive on problem-solving, enjoy working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and have the ability to present complex solutions in a clear, confident, and reassuring way. The role offers a blend of home and office-based work, with regular travel to meet clients.

Key Accountabilities

- Shape and deliver sales strategy – design and execute a clear plan to drive growth, market presence, and customer engagement.
- Lead, coach and inspire the sales team – build a high-performing culture through training, mentoring, and motivating individuals to exceed their targets.
- Drive accountability and results – track team performance, provide regular feedback, and implement initiatives to improve outcomes.
- Generate and qualify leads – identify prospects through research, networking, and partnerships, ensuring a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
- Create new business opportunities – proactively explore untapped markets and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Manage the full customer journey – guide prospects through the sales pipeline with professionalism and care, from initial engagement to long-term partnership.
- Present and pitch with impact – deliver compelling presentations, tailored proposals, and solutions that resonate with client needs.
- Negotiate and close deals – secure commercial agreements that create mutual value and support sustainable growth.
- Own the sales process end-to-end – manage opportunities from lead generation, through qualification, to contract closure with precision and pace.
- Collaborate across teams – coordinate with technical, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction.

About You
- 8+ years of proven success in B2B sales, consistently exceeding targets and driving growth.
- Strong leadership capability with experience motivating, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in simplifying and presenting complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled at engaging and influencing customers and partners, understanding their drivers, and overcoming objections.
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans.
- Experienced collaborator, effective working cross-functionally and with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptable and resilient, thriving in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Established network of relationships with commercial and industrial energy users.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Tertiary qualifications (preferably in a commercial or technical field).
