**Utilise your Administrative expertise to provide support and advice to the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme**:

- **VPS Grade 3: $76,817 -$93,275, plus superannuation**.

**About the Business Unit**:
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a major new initiative for victims of crime. The FAS is a landmark reform that will replace the judicially based Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal with an administrative scheme that prioritises the needs of victims and supports their recovery from violent crime.

The FAS is by victims and stakeholders and represents a major leap forward in the Victorian Government's response to victims of crime. Established under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022 (the Act) the FAS will provide financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. It will acknowledge harm done and be trauma informed, inclusive and culturally safe.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to a FAS Senior Assessor you will be responsible for drafting trauma informed victim recognition statements and coordinating victim recognition meetings.

Some of your duties will include:

- Developing trauma-informed victim recognition statements acknowledging and affirming the experience of the victim in accordance with the Act
- Using authoritative knowledge of the relevant processes to assess victim needs to coordinate complex victim recognition meetings
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver recognition meetings, including venue logistics and travel arrangements.

**About You**:

- Experience in direct human service delivery where there are sensitive and complex needs, working from a trauma-informed perspective
- Commitment to pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal people, aligned with the principle of self-determination
- Qualifications/Requirements:_
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to community and social services, social policy, social work, law, or public administration is desirable.
