About Knoxbrooke Nursery
Knoxbrooke is a for-purpose NDIS service provider that creates employment, development and support opportunities for people with disability. We operate a leading wholesale plant nursery located in beautiful Mount Evelyn, Victoria. Producing a broad range of plants across our 2 sites, we have a variety of customers across South Eastern Australia including retailers, landscapers and construction firms. We are one of Australia's leading social enterprise organisations, providing supported employment and training opportunities for people living with disability, in a true commercial environment.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, drive sales growth, coordinate tenders and manage project delivery as required.
What you'll do
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers including but not limited to large builders/civic contractors and associated syndicates, commercial landscapers, independent retailers and other growers/major retailers.
* Manage and grow commercial projects to achieve sales and budget targets.
* Prepare quotations and tenders and coordinate project delivery by liaising with internal teams and external suppliers where applicable.
* Conduct internal and external sales activities, including telesales, site visits, expos and spec van sales (including stock management).
* Process orders, contracts and sales accurately to ensure timely delivery.
* Provide horticultural advice, product education, stock inspections and reporting to meet client requirements.
* Support promotional activities, trade events, product range and pricing reviews, and annual budget processes.
About you
* Strong knowledge of sales processes with the ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with professional presentation
* Builds strong relationships and negotiates with influence
* Makes informed decisions, uses initiative, and takes a proactive approach to problem solving
* High attention to detail with a strong customer focus
* Demonstrates teamwork, cooperation, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse abilities
* Minimum 5 years' experience working within a large wholesale plant nursery environment
* Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles within a nursery environment
* Previous experience in sales / customer service within a nursery environment
* Certificate III level or greater Horticulture qualifications (preferred)
* Strong plant knowledge across a range of genres including Australian natives, ornamentals, ferns and camellias
* Strong production planning and inventory management skills
* Current Victorian drivers' license
* Strong computer literacy and competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
