Senior Management Accountant Opportunity

This position is available as a 12-month non-ongoing contract, with the potential to become permanent.
The Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and maintenance of budgeting tools and systems to inform financial decision-making
* Manage budget allocations and updates, including mid-year reviews and monthly forecasting and reporting cycles
* Provide high-quality financial analysis and reporting, including end-of-month data and affordability assessments
* Prepare briefs and responses for internal and external stakeholders, including Senate Estimates briefs, Questions on Notice
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement across the Finance and Procurement Branch
Requirements and Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of budgeting principles within the APS and be familiar with the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework.
* Experience in a Big 4 or consulting firm supporting federal government clients
* APS6-level experience as a budgeting or management accountant, with stable tenure and a proven track record
To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen and hold a current Baseline security clearance.
Benefits and Salary
The salary range is $84k - $108k + 15.4% Super.
