What your day could look like
You'll strengthen recovery and wellbeing through person-centred nutrition care, partnering with consumers, families and clinicians to achieve outcomes that matter. You'll be part of a team that values shared learning, innovation and doing what's right for patients.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Leading nutrition assessment and tailored interventions that improve physical health, recovery and quality of life
Collaborating with clinicians, consumers and carers to co-design goals, education and group programs that build confidence and capability
Driving service improvements- refining protocols, contributing to audits and benchmarking, and translating insights into better care
Growing others- providing supervision to students and support staff, and sharing your expertise across teams
Let's talk about you!
You bring capability and care in equal measure. You're grounded in evidence, calm under pressure and motivated by the difference food and connection can make in mental health recovery. With compassion, integrity and dignity at your core, and a spirit of innovation and courage- you help people feel heard, supported and empowered.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Tertiary qualification in Nutrition & Dietetics, with eligibility for Dietitians Australia membership and APD status
Clinical experience delivering dietetic care in multidisciplinary settings, ideally including adult inpatient and adolescent mental health
Strong communication, advocacy and teamwork skills to foster effective partnerships with consumers, families and colleagues
Organised, proactive and improvement-minded, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload and priorities
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in regional practice, quality improvement or research, or confidence supervising students or assistants and facilitating group education.
In this role, your expertise restores health and dignity while advancing compassionate, innovative care, every decision guided by integrity and courage.
