Overview
Are you ready for your next challenge with a market leader in aluminum extrusion? We're seeking a packer/factory labourer to pack and prepare long-length aluminum products for dispatch while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
The role
This is a workplace focused on safety, training and team culture. You'll perform tasks such as:
* Packing long lengths of aluminum (up to 15kg) into skips or onto bases for dispatch.
* Shrink-wrapping, stock-taking, RF scanning, and quality-checking to ensure profiles match products.
* Assembling materials into square shapes for dispatch and preparing crates.
* Operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and forklift for cleating purposes (if licensed).
* Maintaining adherence to safe work procedures, including proper handling, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment.
The roster
This role is working as part of our temporary team working day and night casual shifts (rotate week on week):
* Day shifts 5am – 5pm
* Night shifts 5pm – 5am
15% loading applies to night shifts worked. Penalty rates apply for shifts over 10 hours.
Key skills
To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
* Previous labouring and packing experience, ideally in a factory environment.
* A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks (training will be provided).
* A willingness to follow instructions and work safely at all times.
* Current forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
* Availability to work day, afternoon and night shifts rostered Monday to Friday.
* Own transport and current driver's licence due to shift requirements.
